About me

I  was born in Barcelona. Fascinated by music since childhood, I soon made it my passion and my lifestyle, which brought me to a pilgrimage to Germany, via France and Switzerland, searching to satisfy my curiosity about Renaissance and Baroque music, as well as about this weird and wonderful  instrument -- the cornett.

After obtaining my Recorder teaching diploma, I continued my Superior and Master's studies on Cornett and Early Music Theory at the ESMUC in Barcelona, the CNSM in Lyon and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, with J.-P. Canihac, B. Dickey and W. Dongois.

I have played with conductors such as Jordi Savall, Philippe Herreweghe, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Hans-Christoph Rademann and Alessandro de Marchi, and performed with ensembles such as Hespérion XXI, Concerto Vocale Gent, Lautten Companey Berlin, Les Saqueboutiers de Toulouse, Currende, Capriccio Basel, La Cetra Barockorchester, Dresdner Kammerchor, etc.

I have also had my own ensembles; lots of fun with my friends of the medieval grup Scandicus, and very inteesting and exiting experiences, including being seleted by IYAP and Utrecht's Ancient Music Festival's Fringe, with Lux Venti, a cornetts and sackbutts quintet with best spanish musicians and friends, Concerto Scirocco, with my SCB collegues, and Duo Andarta, with a beloved friend and great organist.

I have taught Renaissance Musical Theory in the Conservatori Isaac Albéniz of Girona and presented a conference about her instrument at the University Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona. I have taught recorder and cornett to children and adults, with her cornett and Renaissance ensemble students in Berlin.

That's it for now....
who knows what the futur will bring.
